It was an oyster port, as there were several on the left bank of this estuary.The owners of an oyster concession had a wooden hut in which they stored their equipment and prepared their harvest for sale and marketing. The project of an oil port and the arrival of cadmium pollution in the estuary put an end to the breeding and consumption of oysters in the estuary until very recently. A few oyster farmers are allowed to restart the local oyster farming but the activity is not comparable to what it was a few decades ago...
I don't know much about this port but it seems that this place was built many years ago.
